Donna Karan is a woman with a long fashion history. She started with a summer job assisting Anne Klein, stayed with Klein for several years and became Klein’s successor. After a decade she wanted to start with her own fashion label. In 1984 she founded her own company together with Stephan Weiss, who became her husband after a while.

Donna Karan stands for sophisticated designs, lifestyle and the memory of the good old ’80s. Her husband inspired her to design a collection for men, which she did in 1992. She received several awards for her visions and efforts, among others she received the 2004 Lifetime Achievement Award.
