Hi! Would you happen to know the designer who is responsible for the shoes Sarah Jessica Parker is wearing in the newly released publicity stills from the “Sex and the City” movie? These are links to the photos and you’ll see the shoes. Your help is greatly appreciated!!!

This is style “VEA79940 N0″ (aka the “Extreme Dior Gladiator Platform”) from the spring/summer 2007 collection of Dior Par John Galliano. The same sandals have already been spotted by Shoebunny on Sheryl Crow in a previous posting. The sandals feature contoured bands over vamp, top of foot, and around ankle, smooth grained leather, open toe, round silver metal studs throughout connect bands in patch-like construction, ankle band secured to top of stiletto heel with round stud, adjustable ankle strap with logo-engraved buckle, smooth grained leather lining and insole, leather sole with rubber heel pad, and a 4.75″ leather-covered stiletto heel.

Only to be worn by strong women these sandals leave a statement. Similar styles include Manolo Blahnik’s chain sandals, Giuseppe Zanotti’s chain sandals, and Manolo Blahnik’s “Purisca” sandals.

Shoebunny spotted Karen Elson in Christian Dior knee-high lace-up sandals.

Dior’s knee-high wrap around sandal is a seductive creation with very modern details. Karen Elson incorporates sexiness and femininity and her Christian Dior sandals underline this perfectly.

Criss-cross leather straps run over toe part and the endless leather wraps start in the mid of the sandal and run up knee-high a woman’s leg. Special detail is the zipper detail that has been added to one side of the leather straps. It looks, as if you would have opened one endless zipper, to tie both parts around the leg. Very cool idea, never seen before elsewhere. The heel comes in silver and matches perfectly with the silver detail of the zipper decoration.
