Shoebunny spotted Taryn Manning in Casadei sandals.

Taryn’s sandals are Look #5 “Metallica” from the current Casadei collection. Like the Dolce & Gabbana wedge sandals from the previous posting these high heel sandals also reflect the strong ’80s vibe of spring/summer 2007. As Casadei describes the “Metallica” shoes:

Today’s posting has a special history. Some time ago our dear reader Brian sent Shoebunny the following email:
“My girlfriend desperately wants these high heel from the May 07 Stuff magazine.
here is the link…can you tell me where to buy them so I can surprise her…this would mean a lot to the both of us.”

No question - such a special mission required Shoebunny’s full attention. Shoebunny started an extensive research, probably the longest since Shoebunny identified - as a world exclusive - Sienna Miller’s blue Miu Miu ballerina flats. Unfortunately the research took longer than expected. Similar shoes popped up (like the XTC “jody” heels), but the original shoes wanted to remain hidden. Until a few minutes ago, when Shoebunny suddenly stumbled upon them at the Casadei website.

Finally, after a long and exhaustive search Shoebunny is very happy to support Brian. The shoes are identified, now it’s time to get them. Zappos Couture has a fairly large Casadei offering (with discount of up to 52% off). However, Taryn’s sandals are not available here (only a similar slide version, see style “5120″).

Shoebunny spotted Alison Krauss in Stuart Weitzman stiletto sandals with real diamonds at the 76th Annual Academy Awards.

Singer Alison Krauss looks like a real goddess on the red carpet of the 2004 Oscars, wearing a gold satin halter gown by Sunny Choi, designed with jeweled ruching on the bodice and a ruffle train together with a silver evening purse by Daniel Swarovski Paris and one-of-a-kind Stuart Weitzman heels worth $2,000,000.

This Cinderella heel is a of 4-1/2 inch invisible glass stiletto heel adorned with 565 Kwiat diamonds set in platinum. Kwiat is an exclusive designer of diamond jewelry and a favorite of celebrities. Shoebunny spotted Claudia Schiffer in Prada bamboo wedge sandals at the 59th Cannes Film Festival on 05/27.

Prada comes up this summer with loose dresses and these towering wedge heels resembling bamboo sculptures. A very unique idea and bamboo elements can be seen in other top designer collections. Remember the 2006 Gucci handbags…
This Prada wedge looks very light, because the bamboo stilts remind Shoebunny of a Balinese beach shack, which is a nice association for summer. And Prada presented similar bamboo wedges with wrinkled grey stockings on their summer 2006 show, maybe that’s a bit too much.

And this year we will all be showing a lot more leg and wear mini-dresses. Wedges are one of the key piece of the season. The higher the better, the stranger the more you want them. Wedges of all kinds are in fashion 2006.

Theses exotic Prada wedges are maybe a bit too exotic for Claudia Schiffer. She does not really look like “Miss Saigon”, and there is nothing mysterious or sensual about her. Why did she choose that little black top beneath her white dress, it does not match with the colour of the Prada wedges.
